Firecracker Prank

A police investigator dusts for fingerprints Thursday after a firecracker stuffed into a mail slot at the home of Monica Lewinsky’s father exploded in what police called a prank. Lewinsky, her father and her stepmother were not home when the firecracker exploded sometime Wednesday. No one was hurt, but minor powder burns damaged the wood floor in the living room of the Brentwood home 10 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. The firecracker was put through the mail slot (upper left) beside the home’s front door.
