Rathdrum To Discuss Its Future
The city of Rathdrum will hold a town hall meeting Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall to discuss downtown design and development.
During the first part of the session, residents will be asked about what they value in the community and what they would like Rathdrum to look like in the future.
The second part of the session will be a presentation about the design of the downtown revitalization project.
The last part will consist of a visual preference survey. Residents will be asked to prioritize their impressions on a variety of downtown design images. They will look at photos of trees, street furniture, lighting, open space, building facades, sidewalks, crosswalks, parking and other components of downtown areas.
Survey results will be used to guide recommendations for future design improvements, said Tom Hudson, planning consultant for the project.
Jan Hale, Rathdrum planning administrator, encourages all residents to attend.
