Ryan Tefft Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Ryan Gregory Tefft, 21, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Community United Methodist Church in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Tefft, who was born in St. Maries, Idaho, died Sunday from injuries suffered when his automobile struck a deer near Bear Lake, Wash.

He grew up in Coeur d’Alene and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1995. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church and participated in the youth group.

Survivors include his parents, Greg and Nancy Tefft of Coeur d’Alene; two brothers, Dave Tefft of Spokane and Ian Tefft of Coeur d’Alene; and his grandfather, Warren Shephard of Coeur d’Alene.

Kenneth Bloom Smelterville, Idaho

Memorial service for Kenneth Carl Bloom, 80, will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bloom, who was born in Sandpoint, died Tuesday.

He was a lifetime North Idaho resident and worked as a park ranger at Heyburn State Park. He received the Ranger of the Year Award in 1982 and retired in 1983.

Mr. Bloom also worked in various local mines and operated several service stations in the Silver Valley and in Richland.

Mr. Bloom was a charter member of the Kellogg Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by three wives.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Sample of Pinehurst, Idaho; a son, James Bloom of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, Ronald Bloom of Pullman; a sister, Babs Phelps of Fall City, Wash.; two grandchildren, Marcus and Mindy; and one great-grandchild, Tyler.

Richard Cooley Spokane

Private service will be held for Richard E. Cooley, 76. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mr. Cooley, who was born in Ellensburg, died Friday.

He graduated from Cle Elum (Wash.) High School and served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He received a World War II victory medal and an American defense ribbon. He later worked in the dairy business.

He was a 57-year Spokane resident and spent his summers in Priest Lake, Idaho.

His wife of more than 40 years, Elta, died Sept. 13.

Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Seller; a son, Ronald Hunz of Skagway, Alaska; a brother, Mike Cooley; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Beulah Foley Spokane

No service will be held for Beulah G. Foley, 97. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Foley, who died Saturday, was born in Basco, Ill.

She was a homemaker and lived in Spokane for more than 70 years.

Her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Emma Padayao of Lacey, Wash; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Grace Davidson Post Falls

Private service for Grace Jean Davidson, 90, will be held at a later date. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Davidson, who died Monday, was born in Ohio.

She worked in factories in Ohio and moved to California in 1945, where she worked as a nurse and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Davidson moved to Post Falls in 1985.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Kelly; two sons, Larry and Ronald Davidson; a sister, Eileen; and four grandchildren.

Asa Crass Colville, Wash.

Memorial service for Asa Crass, 90, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah, Wash.

Mr. Crass, who was born in Ada, Okla., died Saturday.

He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and for Dawn Mining Co. for a few years.

Mr. Crass was a member of the Springdale Community Church and the Moose Lodge. He had been a resident of the Colville area for 44 years.

Survivors include three sons, David Crass of Concord, Calif., John Crass of Midwest City, Okla., and Larry Crass of Danville, Calif.; three daughters, Vickie Bolton of Pacifica, Calif., Jerry Byers of Norwalk, Calif., and Patricia Covey of Merlin, Ore.; two stepsons, Cecil Harmon of Liberty Lake and Robert Harmon of Springdale, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Patricia Sulgrove of Springdale and Geraldine Dvorak of Deer Park; a brother, Chester Crass of El Dorado, Calif., and numerous grandchildren.

Adam Deerheim Spokane

Visitation for Adam Deerheim, 95, will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - North. Funeral is planned for 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mr. Deerheim, who was born in Kasel, Russia, died Monday.

He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1904, settling in North Dakota.

In 1924 he moved to Seattle and in 1925, moved to Lind, Wash., where he was a wheat farmer. He moved to Spokane in 1946.

Mr. Deerheim worked as a truck driver for Kraft Food Distribution Co. and as a welder and saw filer for Boise Cascade. He retired in 1965.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Emma; two sons, Howard and Jack Deerheim, both of Spokane; a daughter, Tillie McCord of Port Angeles, Wash.; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Paula Hilpert Spokane

No service will be held for Paula Colista Hilpert. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hilpert, who was born in Chicago, died Sept. 14. She was 93.

She moved to Spokane in 1933 and in 1947 married Edward Hilpert.

Mrs. Hilpert was a homemaker.

Her husband died in 1982.

She is survived by a son, Roy Strawer of Spokane.
