Coeur d’Alene-based Hanna & Associates Inc. has added the following people to its staff:
Dennis Magner joined the advertising agency as an art director. Magner previously was associate creative director at White Runkle Associates in Spokane. He received a bachelor’s degree in advertising and graphic design from the University of Idaho.
Patrick McKay was hired as a copywriter. McKay, who previously was a copywriter for Warner Birchell & Hall in Spokane, received a bachelor’s degree from Carroll College and attended Seattle’s School of Visual Concepts.
Nick Graham was appointed an art director. Graham previously was creative director at Key Tronic Corp. in Spokane. He has an associate’s degree in graphic design.
Jody Nelson joined Hanna as a production artist. Nelson previously was assistant ad manager at SuperValu in Spokane.

Jennifer Lowry joined the company as an accountant. Lowry, who received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Belmont University, previously was with WM Shareholder Services as a fund accountant.
Mary O’Toole was named director of facilities and equipment. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Gonzaga University. O’Toole previously was systems coordinator at Inland Imaging.
Patti Ralston was appointed personnel coordinator. Ralston, who will oversee personnel and human resource issues, formerly was office manager for Olympus Industries.
Sarah Russell was hired as executive assistant to the chief executive officer. Russell, who oversees South Side operations for Inland Imaging, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
Dr. Mario Roybal has joined Hagen Chiropractic Clinic. Roybal received his professional training at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1997. He was practicing in the Tri-Cities before moving back to Spokane.
Holly Stetson has been named catering director at Jimmy D’s Cafe in Coeur d’Alene. The restaurant has expanded its catering service, which now includes organization, planning menus, delivery, table set-up service and clean up.
Charles Allen has joined Windermere Real Estate as a sales associate at its Chewelah office. Allen was most recently with John L. Scott Real Estate.

Michael Pugsley has passed the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 24, General Securities Principal Examination, and is now a registered principal for Idaho Independent Bank. He represents Linsco/Private Ledger Securities.
Starting up:
Donna Lange, Kathy Maurer and David Nanni have formed BrightWorks Communications Group, a full-service marketing communications and graphic design firm located at 110 S. Cedar in Carnegie Square. The firm offers graphic design, copywriting, new media and strategic communications planning. Prior to forming BrightWorks, each of the principals operated related businesses in Spokane, Boulder, Denver and Seattle, working with clients which included Avista Energy, Itron, Itronix, Packet Engines, SIRTI, US West, Wang Global, Washington Trust Bank and Washington Water Power.
Sheila Hoisington and Albert Harden have opened Little Peanuts Daycare at 3029 E. Mission. The business, which received its state license on Sept. 4, serves the daycare needs of Spokane Community College students and others.

Certifications:
Pathology Associates Inc. has been awarded two-year accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists. The award was based on the results of a recent on-site inspection where inspectors examine the records and quality control of the laboratory for the preceding two years, as well as the education and qualifications of the total staff, the adequacy of the facilities, the equipment, laboratory safety, and laboratory management to determine how well the lab is serving patients.
