Lake access

Free use of a choice campsite on a quiet Pend Oreille County lake is a perk the Forest Service is offering potential volunteer hosts.

The Bead Lake boat access, scheduled to open for the first time on May 1, is in need of hosts to keep an eye on the new facility.

Electrical and water hook-ups are provided as well as a gray water dump tank.

No campground is associated with the Bead Lake access, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. through early October.
