Toya Bailey Completes Basic Military Training
Air Force Airman Toya T. Bailey, daughter of Petra Bailey of Osburn, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Bailey, a 1998 Wallace High School graduate, received six weeks of training in the Air Force mission, organization, human relations and customs, and earned credits toward an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force.
John R. Greene, son of Steve Greene of St. Maries and Cheryl Mathis of Pinehurst, Idaho, has enlisted in the Army as a parachute rigger and recently departed for basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C.
Greene is a 1996 graduate of Kootenai High School in Harrison, Idaho, and joined the Army to earn money and to gain skill training and experience.
Stephen W. Hess, son of Bruce and Sandra Hess of Post Falls, has enlisted in the Army as a Cannon Crewmember and departed for basic training at Fort Sill, Okla.
Hess lives in Coeur d’Alene with his wife, Allison.
Air Force Staff Sgt. Trinity L. Daniels, wife of Matthew Daniels, and daughter of Clifford Schuerman of St. Maries and Vanita Meinzinger of Greenacres, recently received a promotion to her present rank.
Daniels, a 1991 Coeur d’Alene High School graduate who received an associate degree from the Air Force Community College in 1997, is a satellite systems analyst assigned to the 18th Intelligence Squadron at RAF Feltwell, Lakenheath, England.
Air Force Senior Airman Anne M. Kuhn, wife of Glen Kuhn and daughter of Cyndy Goen of Hayden, Idaho, and Herbert and Barbara Goen of Texas, has arrived for duty at Yokota Air Base, Tokyo.
Goen, a 1994 Coeur d’Alene High School graduate, is a response force leader assigned to the 374th Security Forces Squadron.
Army Spec. Erin A. Bronowski, son of Anthony and Cynthia Bronowski of Pinehurst, Idaho, recently deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina in support of Operation Joint Forge.
Bronowski, a general construction operator normally assigned to the Company A, 62nd Engineer Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas, is part of a NATO-sponsored joint, multinational peacekeeping mission involving soldiers from 25 countries. Operation Joint Forge, formerly referred to as Guard/Endeavor/Determined Effort, is supporting the effort designed to promote the peace process signed in December 1995 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. Soldiers serve at various mission support bases and camp sites in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Jeremy D. Winborne, son of Heidi Seymour of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Gerald Winborne of San Francisco, has enlisted in the Army as an Avenger crewmember and departed for basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C.
Winborne, a 1998 high school graduate from Jackson, Mich., joined the Army for skill training and experience.
Amanda M. Main, stepdaughter of Virginia Main of Oldtown, Idaho, has enlisted in the Army as a Satellite Communications Systems OperatorMaintainer.
Main, a 1998 graduate of Priest River-Lamanna High School, recently departed for basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
Bob Divine of Post Falls has received a 10-Year Award from the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Spokane County for his volunteer contributions to the program.
