Ricardo Rodriguez of Pasadena, Calif., gives 14-month-old Ricardo Jr. an introduction to snow as they join hundreds of other city dwellers who left the concrete jungle to fool around in the wonderful white stuff at Red Box Campground, near Mount Wilson in Southern California’s Angeles National Forest. An unseasonably cold spring storm brought snow to the mountains, record low temperatures and chilly winds to the Los Angeles area.
