Spotlight: Snowmobiles

Racers from seven western states and Canada are expected for a snowmobile hill climb Saturday and Sunday at 49 Degrees North.

From pros on $15,000 machines to recreational riders, competitors will take a run at 1,800 vertical feet of Chewelah mountain that will include bumps, jumps and moguls. Many are competing for points toward the national finals.

Racing starts at 9:30 a.m. both days. Spectator fee is $14 for two days, which includes use of chair 1. Parking is $5 per day.
