Raymond Linton Chattaroy
Funeral for Raymond Walter “Ray” Linton, 55, will be at 3 p.m. today at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River, Idaho. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River.
Mr. Linton, who was born in Newport, Wash., died Tuesday.
He graduated from Priest River High School in 1962, where he was a four-year athletic letterman.
Mr. Linton attended community college in Coeur d’Alene, later working as an electrician in commercial construction. His job took him many places, including to Spokane, Seattle and Hawaii.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 73.
Survivors include his mother, Ellen Linton of Priest River; five brothers, Jim, Curtis and Mick Linton, all of Priest River, Gerald Linton of Seeley Lake, Mont., and Delbert Linton of Colbert; and two sisters, June Pettit of Oldtown, Idaho, and Joy Altmaier of Priest River.

Ruth Gabriel Spokane
Memorial service for Ruth D. Gabriel, 70, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home North. Burial was previously held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gabriel, who was born in Buffalo, N.Y., died Sunday.
She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1946 and entered nursing school at Buffalo Children’s Hospital. She received her degree in 1950.
Mrs. Gabriel worked as a registered nurse at the children’s hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1984 and moving to Spokane.
She attended Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Robert; a son, Eric Gabriel of Spokane; two daughters, Heidi Works of Spokane and Ann Marie Breitenbach of Chesterfield, Va.; four brothers, Jack, William, Edward and James Roberts; and three grandchildren.
Ruth Lemery Spokane
Funeral Mass for Ruth C. Lemery, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lemery, who was born in St. Louis, Mo., died Tuesday.
She graduated from North Central High School in 1924 and attended Kinman Business University.
Mrs. Lemery worked for the Washington State Architect’s Office and in 1957 married Louis Lemery.
They moved to Portland and returned to Spokane in 1976.
Mrs. Lemery was a lifetime member of South Side Senior Center and was active with various community services.
Survivors include her husband; a son, James Lemery of San Diego; a daughter, Janet Rodeghiero of Roundup, Mont; a brother, Edward Callahan of Spokane; and nine grandchildren.

Warren `Wormy’ Gallaher Kettle Falls, Wash.
Memorial service for Warren D. “Wormy” Gallaher, 81, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Kettle River Grange hall in Barstow, Wash. Danekas Funeral Home in Colville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
A 52-year Kettle Falls resident, Mr. Gallaher died Friday. He was born in Waterville, Wash.
Mr. Gallaher graduated from Mansfield (Wash.) High School and attended Kinman Business University in Spokane.
He spent several summers driving a truck for his father, hauling livestock, scrap iron and fence posts.
In 1939 he married Esther Williams, and. they lived on a ranch near Mansfield for seven years before moving to the Kelly Hill area in Kettle Falls, where he raised polled Hereford cattle, hay and grain.
Mr. Gallaher served on the Federal Land Board for 20 years and on the Orient (Wash.) School Board for nine years. He was a member of several county agriculture and Grange committees.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Toni Robertson and Dinah Gallo, both of Kelly Hill, and Beverly Marshall of Colville; a brother, Earl Gallaher of Seattle; two sisters, June McKellar of Vancouver, Wash., and Nadine Welty of Carmichael, Calif.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Helen Stewart Spokane
Memorial service for Helen (Thiebes) Stewart, 93, is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.
Born in Spokane, Mrs. Stewart died Monday.
She attended Lewis and Clark High School and graduated from Washington State University. She earned her master’s degree in library science from Columbia University in 1926.
Mrs. Stewart worked in the New York Public Library for 12 years, where she met her husband, Richard Stewart.
In the late 1950s, she attended Gonzaga University and earned her teaching certificate. She later worked as the head librarian at Central Valley High School for many years.
Her husband died in 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Stewart of Spokane and James Stewart of Vancouver, Wash.; a daughter, Jane Brereton of Cranbrook, British Columbia; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Lena (Willms) Meyer White Auburn, Wash.
Funeral for Lena (Willms) Meyer White, a former longtime Davenport, Wash., resident, will be at 1 p.m. today at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Harrington, Wash. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. White, who was born in Douglas, Wash., died Monday. She was 100.
She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport and the Davenport Senior Center.
Mrs. White moved to Auburn a few months ago.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Meyer of Sumner, Wash., Donald Meyer of Black Diamond, Wash., Victor Meyer of Harrington, Wash., and Alan Meyer of Whitefish, Mont.; a daughter, Dorothy Welling of Burien, Wash.; one stepson, Robert White of Royal Oak, Mich.; a brother, Albert Willms of Medical Lake; a sister, Ella Price of Spokane; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Wesley Natwick Spokane
Visitation for Wesley W. Natwick, a retired Spokane police officer, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today and Sunday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Monday at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church.
Mr. Natwick, who was born in Spokane, died April 12. He was 85.
He graduated from North Central High School in 1931 and married Lucille Smick in 1940.
Mr. Natwick served with the Spokane Police Department for many years, obtaining the rank of lieutenant before his retirement in 1973.
He was a member of Eagle Scout Troop 11, the Spokane Police Officers and Wives Association and was a 34-year member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; and a brother, Gilbert Natwick of Spokane.

Katherine Parent Otis Orchards
Visitation for Katherine C. Parent, 75, will be from noon to 4 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Vigil will follow at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Trentwood.
A 53-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Parent died Wednesday. She was born in Baker, Mont.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Albert; two sons, Roger Parent of Newman Lake and Thomas Parent of Camarillo, Calif.; two daughters, Loretta Kracher of Spokane and Evette Franklin of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Ben Olinger of Mica, Wash.; a sister, Louise Kowalsky of Otis Orchards; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Lucille Johnson Kellogg
Service for Lucille F. Johnson, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg.
Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Grandview, Mo., died Wednesday.
She married Ralph Johnson in 1934 and lived in Oregon before settling in the Silver Valley in 1946.
Mrs. Johnson worked as a waitress at Joe’s Quick Lunch in Kellogg.
Her husband died in 1981. Survivors include two daughters, Elsie Houck of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Deannie Williams of Portland; a brother, Gilbert Myers of Oregon; two sisters, Velma Tilman of Bridgeport, Wash., and Lilly Engstrom of Battleground, Wash.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
Anna Triplett Spokane
Visitation for Anna E. Triplett, 83, will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Funeral is planned for 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Triplett, who was born in Spokane, died Thursday.
She graduated from Mead High School and worked as a department head in the pharmaceutical lab for Hollister-Stier Laboratories for many years. She retired in 1980.
Her husband, Harvey, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy McLagan of Spokane; a brother, Gilbert Whipps of Spokane; five sisters, Virginia Williams, Ruth McConnell, Elizabeth Harty, Dasey Mitchell and Myrtle Larson, all of Spokane; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Bessie Strand Newport, Wash.
Service for Bessie N. Strand, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.
Mrs. Strand, who was born in Spokane, died Wednesday.
She moved to Los Angeles in 1925 and married Karl Strand in 1936.
Mrs. Strand moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1951 and lived in various areas of the country from 1955 until 1960, when she settled in Coeur d’Alene. She moved to California in 1978. She had lived in the Newport area since 1989.
Mrs. Strand worked as a secretary for the administrator of the Board of Education in California for several years.
Her husband died in 1976.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen and Arthur Strand, both of California, and Paul Strand of Newport; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Bessie Kosmala Spokane
Funeral Mass for Bessie Kosmala, 104, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colbert. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 20-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Kosmala died Wednesday. She was born in Chicago.
Mrs. Kosmala worked as the supervisor of catalog sales at various department stores.
She was a 17-year member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She had been living at the Maplewood Gardens Retirement Center for the past several years.
Survivors include her sister, Lillian Gurney of Spokane.

Neva Pock Salem, Ore.
Funeral for Neva W. Pock, 80, will be at 10 a.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pock, who was born in Sturgis, S.D., died Tuesday.
She was raised in Enning, S.D., and lived in California for many years before moving to Spokane in 1968.
Mrs. Pock worked as a re-weaver and was a member of the Country Church of the Open Bible in Elk.
She moved to Salem in 1996.
Her husband, Lenneth, died in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Doug Pock of Seattle; a daughter, Constance Giggey of San Leandro, Calif.; five brothers, Mike, Chester and Bert Clute, all of Spokane, Alfred Clute of Louisiana and FayeDean Clute of Florida; three sisters, Alice Hague and Velma Stevens, both of Spokane, and Betty Patton of Rocklin, Calif.
Robert Borders Hayden, Idaho
Private service will be held for Robert C. Borders, 87, at his request. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Borders, who was born in Royal Center, Ind., died Monday.
He grew up in Indiana and married Karna Miller. They settled in Montana and he began a career with the Weather Bureau.
Mr. Borders had worked as head of the Weather Bureau in Lewiston, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Yakima, retiring after 30 years.
He moved to Hayden in the early 1980s.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marilyn Cook of Post Falls and Linda Borders of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
