Earth Day

Speeches on environmental issues will be featured at Spokane Community College on Thursday in observance of Earth Day.

At 10:30 a.m., Lisa Ramirez of The Lands Council will present, “Death by a Thousand Cuts or Ending Commercial Logging,” an overview of commercial logging in the region.

At 11:30 a.m., Jennifer Extrom, of Washington Conservation Voters, will discuss her organizations steps to promote environmentally responsible political candidates.

The presentations are scheduled in the SCC Lair-Student Center Sasquatch Room, Building 6 at 1810 North Greene St.
