Knife Pulled In Groceries Theft

Two people stole more than $400 in groceries from a North Side store Friday, flashing a knife at store employees who tried to stop them.

Police said a woman filled a grocery cart at Yoke’s Pac ‘n Save, 3321 W. Indian Trail Rd., about 5 p.m. Friday and left the store without paying.

She unloaded the items into a car, where a male driver waited for her.

When two store employees tried to stop the driver, he pulled a knife and threatened them before driving away, police said.

No one was injured.

The woman was described as white and heavyset with blonde hair and a light complexion. The man had a dark complexion, dark hair, a mustache and a silver tooth.

The car was a blue 1988 Hyundai five-door with Washington license plates.
