Cavanaughs Selects Blank For Board Position

Stephen Blank, a real estate industry veteran, has been added to the Cavanaughs Hospitality Corp. board of directors.

Blank, of New York City, is a senior fellow for finance of the Urban Land Institute. He will be the board’s eighth member.

In a prepared statement, Donald Barbieri, Cavanaughs chairman and CEO, said: “The makeup of the company’s board of directors has been a focus of the investment community as of late. We are seeking to address the issue of balance between inside and outside directors.”

Corporations for which Blank has worked include Kidder Peabody & Co., Cushmann & Wakefield Inc. and, most recently, CIBC Oppenheimer Corp.
