Ellsworth Gump Jr. Spokane
Funeral for retired District Court Judge Ellsworth Gump Jr., 87, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Shiloh Hills Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime resident of Spokane, Mr.
Gump died Wednesday.
He graduated from North Central High School.
Mr. Gump worked for Spokane United Railway and Washington Water Power.
He served with the Army during World War II.
In 1945 he became a court clerk for Superior Court Judge Charles Greenough and later worked for Judge Louis Bunge.
He graduated from Gonzaga Law School in 1952 at the age of 39.
Mr. Gump was in private practice for six years before he was elected to Justice Court in 1958. He retired in 1978 from District Court.
He was a member of Shiloh Hills Baptist Church, the Lakeland Village Association and Washington Magistrates Association.
His wife of eight years, Ethel Brannan Gump, died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Worth Gump of Spokane; a brother, James Gump of Spokane; a sister, Mary Nebergall of Anaheim, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Otis Colvin Potlatch, Idaho
Memorial service for Otis O. “Oats” Colvin, 67, will be at 3 p.m. today at Elmore United Methodist Church near Potlatch. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Colvin, who was born in Onaway, Idaho, died Wednesday.
He worked as a smoke jumper for the Forest Service in the summers during his high school years. After graduating from Potlatch High School in 1950, he worked at the Potlatch Forests Mill.
In 1956 he moved to the Seattle area and worked for the Boeing Co. He married Mae Price in 1958, and they returned to Idaho in 1963.
Mr. Colvin worked for Potlatch Forests Inc. in Lewiston for two years.
In 1965 he moved to Potlatch, where he worked as a millwright at the Potlatch Mill until it closed in 1981. He retired in 1982.
Mr. Colvin and his wife worked as volunteer park hosts at Laird Park near Harvard, Idaho, during the summer months from 1989 until 1997. They wintered in Arizona in the early 1990s.
Mr. Colvin was a member of Potlatch Chapter 4543 of the Royal Neighbors of America, the International Woodworkers of America and Latah County Search and Rescue Unit. He also served as a member of the Potlatch Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Clint Colvin of Potlatch, and Bob and Ernie Colvin, both of Lewiston; two daughters, Rainy Johnson of Garfield, Wash., and Teri Colvin of Potlatch; three brothers, Vern Mundy of Rock Springs, Wyo., Russell Mundy of Starke, Fla., and Charles Mundy of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Lou Bidle of Palouse; and four granddaughters.

Ruth Delles Colville, Wash.
Vigil service for Ruth Jean Delles will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Immaculate Conception Church in Colville. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Colville resident, Mrs. Delles, died Wednesday. She was 79.
She graduated from Colville High School in 1937 and later from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing.
Mrs. Delles enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps near the end of World War II and served for three years as a registered nurse at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C.
After the war she returned to Colville and continued working as a nurse at Mount Carmel Hospital and clinics in the area. She retired after 47 years as a nurse..
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, the Colville Eagles Auxiliary and Colville Valley Grange.
Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Joe; two stepsons, Ron Delles of Bellingham and Gary Delles of Phoenix; a sister, Cora Anderson of Atwater, Calif.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Donald Auer Chewelah, Wash.
Visitation for Donald R. Auer, 72, will be from noon to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral home. Funeral is planned for 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Waitsburg (Wash.) City Cemetery.
A five-year Chewelah resident, Mr. Auer, died Wednesday. He was born in Lewiston.
He served with the Navy during World War II and in a heavy artillery unit with the Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Auer moved to Spokane from the Tri-Cities in 1972.
He worked for Rosauers and Stein Bros. IGA for 30 years as a meat department supervisor. He retired in 1992.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Bettie; three sons, Randal Auer of Republic, Wash., Ronald Auer of Olympia and Robert Auer of Lakeville, Minn.; a daughter, Patti Sanders of Spokane; his mother, Lois Knezevich of Clarkston, Wash.; two brothers, Richard Auer of Moscow, Idaho, and Robert Auer of Lewiston; two half-sisters, Vickie Kotkey of Moscow and Linda Auer of Seattle; and eight grandchildren.
Corinne Shortridge Spokane
Memorial service for Corinne K. Shortridge, 67, will be at 3 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home.
A 25-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Shortridge died Wednesday. She was born in Lewiston.
She worked as a Realtor in the Spokane area for several years and was a member of Spokane Board of Realtors for more than 20 years. She also was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Her husband of 15 years, Earl, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, James Jorgensen, three daughters, Cheryl Amann, Sharon Key and Pam Warner, and two stepchildren, Jan Rodrey and Don Shortridge, all of Spokane; a brother, J.R. Striebeck of Craigmont, Idaho; and four grandchildren.
Myrtie Martin-Robbins Spokane
A private memorial gathering for Myrtie M. Martin-Robbins, 82, will be Sunday. Graveside service was Aug. 6 at Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla.
A 52-year Spokane and Loon Lakearea resident, Mrs. Martin-Robbins died Aug. 2. She was born in Ukiah, Ore.
In 1942 she married Roy Robbins.
She and her husband owned Robbins Cottage on Loon Lake for several years. She also was a homemaker and a member of the Loon Lake Moose Lodge, Loon Lake Historical Society, Loon Lake Association and Loon Lake Homeowners Association.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Patty Hytien of Deer Park and Kathy Robbins of Spokane; a brother, Gail Martin of Walla Walla; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Everett Brown Spokane
Visitation for Everett C. Brown, 81, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Brown, who was born in Fishtrap, died Tuesday.
He worked as an equipment operator at Kaiser Aluminum in Mead and retired in 1979.
Mr. Brown was a member of United Steelworkers Union Local 329.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mildred; four sons, Robert, Donald, Herb and Lyle Brown, all of Spokane; a daughter, Shirley Montague of Spokane; a brother, Fred Brown, and a sister, Elizabeth Rennich, both of Spokane; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Jean (Hall) Zorn Spokane
Funeral for Jean H. (Hall) Zorn, 92, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A 50-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Zorn died Wednesday. She was born in Bottineau, N.D.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, F. Margaret Skinner of Spokane, Joyce Osborne of Renton, Wash., Lorna Dilley of Richland Center, Wis., and Carol Gibbs of Carson City, Nev.; a brother, Lloyd Hall of St. Paul, Minn.; three sisters, Myrtle Puppy of Grand Forks, N.D., and Margaret Estenson and Edna Hett, both of Minot, N.D.; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mary Miller Spokane
Funeral service for Mary Inez (Daly) Miller, 87, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Private burial will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 60-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Miller died Wednesday. She was born in Lincoln, Wash.
She married Virgil Riddle and later married Raymond Miller. Mr. Miller preceded her in death.
Mrs. Miller was the postmaster in Peach, Wash., during the 1930s.
She worked at Ideal Laundry for 25 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Huff of Spokane; a stepson, Raymond Miller Jr.; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Valorz of Nevada; a brother, William Daly of Kennewick; two grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Paul Boyette Spokane
Memorial service for Paul Stephen Boyette, 27, will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 6528 N. Monroe. Spokane Cremation and Burial is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boyette, who was born in Santa Barbara, Calif., died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a car accident. He graduated from Newport (Wash.) High School in 1990 and moved to Spokane.
Mr. Boyette worked as a skidder operator in the logging industry for a few years.
Survivors include his wife, Angela; a daughter, Kayla Boyette at home; his father and stepmother, Rickey and Kathy Boyette; his mother and stepfather, DeeDee and Paul Rhodes; a brother, Christopher Boyette; and four sisters, Andrea Eliassen, and Lisa, Rachelle and Kenna Boyette.
Ira `Ike’ Graves Spokane
Funeral for Ira B. “Ike” Graves, 76, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
A 30-year Spokane resident, Mr. Graves died Wednesday. He was born in Oral, S.D.
He worked as a millwright for several years.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joanne; a son, Michael Graves of Port Orchard, Wash.; a daughter, Susan Smith of Spokane; two brothers, William Graves of Curlew, Wash., and Calvin Graves of Bend, Ore.; three sisters, Betty Marti of Colville, Wash., Lucille Wheaton of Milo, Wash., and Shirley Erhlick of Michigan; and a grandson.

Rudolph Saccomanno Spokane

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Saccomanno died Wednesday. He was 69.
He worked as a car salesman for several years.
His wife, Colleen, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Rudy Saccomanno of Ketchikan, Alaska; a daughter, Paige Quintel of Nevada; two sisters, Louise Saccomanno and Juanita Planck, both of Spokane; and two grandchildren.
