Background: Gould, 60, has been a priest for 34 years. He was ordained in 1964 after graduating from St. Thomas Seminary in Seattle. A Northwest native, Gould grew up in Jerome, Idaho.

He has been at St. George’s for the past nine years and before that spent three years at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Gould currently serves on the board of directors of the Post Falls Food Bank and is a trustee of the Post Falls Public Library.
