A 14-year-old boy has confessed to breaking the windows of the COPS West substation, saying the violence “goes against authority,” Spokane Police said Sunday.

The unidentified youth was booked into Juvenile Detention Saturday on three counts of felony malicious mischief.

The boy told police that he broke windows at the substation, 1901 W. Boone, three times in as many days and once last week.

Officers located the boy early Saturday after witnesses identified the house where he ran after breaking a window earlier Saturday morning.

Accumulative damages may be as much as $2,000.
