Greg Thompson Assigned To Ramstein Air Base

Army Capt. Greg Z. Thompson, son of Marvin and Dawn Thompson of Potlatch, has arrived for duty at Ramstein Air Base, Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Thompson, a 1989 graduate of the University of Idaho, is an operations officer assigned to the Battle Coordination Element.

Chad M. Curtis, son of Daniel and Lori Curtis of Moscow, has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Camp Challenge at Fort Knox, Ky.

Curtis, a 1997 graduate of Moscow High School, is a student at the University of Montana.

Camp Challenge is designed to give college sophomores, juniors and select freshman who have not taken ROTC courses the opportunity to enter the program.

Nicholas C. Holmes, son and stepson of Kelly and Gary Riley of Post Falls, has enlisted in the Army as an armor crewman and recently departed for basic training at Fort Knox, Ky.

Holmes is a 1999 Post Falls High School graduate.

Jeffrey K. Johnson, son of Kenneth and Phyllis Johnson of Coeur d’Alene, has enlisted in the Army’s Delayed Entry Program as a multimedia illustrator and will depart for basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., next month.

Johnson is a 1999 Coeur d’Alene High School graduate.
