Panhandle Bancorp. Opening In Payette

Panhandle Bancorp., which operates a string of community banks in North Idaho, is moving to the southern part of the state.

The company is opening a bank in Payette under the name “Intermountain Community Bank.” The bank already offers loan services, and full banking services will be available in October.

The company operates in Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry and Priest River under the name “Panhandle State Bank.”

Panhandle Bancorp. is an 18-year-old institution founded in Sandpoint. It has assets in excess of $150 million and 85 employees.
