Carol Solberg Spokane
Memorial service for Carol L. Solberg, 88, will be at 10 a.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held in Havre, Mont.
Mrs. Solberg, who was born in Minnesota, died Wednesday.
She moved to Spokane in 1973, and worked as a retail clerk in drug stores over the years.
Mrs. Solberg was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Her husband, Art Solberg, died in 1966.
Survivors include three sons, John Carrier of Spokane, Steve Carrier of Libertyville, Ill., and Rodney Carrier of Tumwater, Wash.; a sister, Marcella Nordgren of St. James, Minn.; six grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Robert `Bunky’ Hendrickson Spokane
Private service will be held for Robert “Bunky” Hendrickson, 59. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 19-year Spokane resident, Mr. Hendrickson died Wednesday. He was born in Pasco.
He worked as an agricultural salesman for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie; six daughters; one son; his mother, Isabel; three brothers; and 16 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Gwendolynn Muzzy Spokane
Memorial service for Gwendolynn N. Muzzy, 77, was Sunday at her home. Mrs. Muzzy, who was born in Hamilton, Mont., died Thursday.
She attended North Central High School, and in 1940 married Kenneth Muzzy. He died 16 years ago.
Mrs. Muzzy was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Schimke of Renton, Wash., Kenni Butler of Spokane and Jill Werkheiser of Baker, Fla.; a sister, Lorraine Avery of Spokane; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Alice (Buchanan) Kienholz Oceanside, Calif.
Graveside service for Alice (Buchanan) Kienholz, a former 62-year Spokane resident, was Friday at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside.
Mrs. Kienholz, who was born in Spokane, died Aug. 22.
She retired from Washington Trust Bank, and moved to Oceanside several years ago.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Wes; two sons, Kyle Kienholz of San Marcos, Calif., and Kendel Kienholz of Spokane; three daughters, Kay Hutcheson of Port Townsend, Wash., Kandace Williams of Charlotte, N.C., and Karolee Peltola of Sumner, Wash.; three sisters, Ruth Johnson and Mary Farnsworth, both of Spokane, and Esther Meredith of Kirkland, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Maurice Chamberlain Spokane
Memorial service for Maurice G. “Morrie” Chamberlain, a longtime Spokane resident, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Chamberlain, who was born in Coffee Creek, Mont., died Aug. 23. He was 79.
He lived in Alaska in the 1940s, and was the co-owner of Pella Products in Spokane in the 1950s.
He returned to Alaska from 1976 until 1983, when he came back to Spokane.
Mr. Chamberlain spent the past 14 summers at his lake home on Kootenay Lake, British Columbia.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Spokane Home Builders Association.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; four sons, Terry Chamberlain of New York City, Larry Chamberlain of Eugene, Ore., Garry Chamberlain of Spokane and David Chamberlain of San Diego; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Hospice of Spokane.
Wilmer Longwell Spokane
No service will be held for Wilmer V. Longwell. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Longwell, who was born in Shadyside, Ohio, died Thursday. He was 72.
He enlisted in the Navy after graduating from high school in 1945. He later joined the Air Force and served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the military in 1977 after 28 years.
His wife of 45 years, Ruth, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Michael Longwell of San Marcos, Calif.; three daughters, Deborah Cure of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Kathleen Weigate and Patricia Longwell, both of Spokane; a brother, Bill Longwell of Shadyside; a sister, Yvonne Yoblonski of Kinsmen, Ohio; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Donald Williams Pinehurst, Idaho
Service for S. Donald “Don” Williams, 87, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Williams, who was born in Joseph, Ore., died Thursday.
He graduated from high school in Enterprise, Ore., and moved to the Silver Valley in 1950 from Hermiston, Ore.
Mr. Williams worked as a metallurgical chemist in the assay lab at Bunker Hill/Sullivan Mining Co.
In 1971 he married Goldie Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Darlene Powers of Spokane; and one grandson, Andy.
