A Mural Preservation

Rather than painting over and covering up a 500-foot stretch of weathered murals in Ventura, Calif,. the mural project coordinators have decided to take them down and give the pieces away. the murals have been an artistic mainstay on Figueroa Street, across from Seaside Park, since 1995. Most of the murals are worn and look scruffy. Coordinators are eager to find new homes for these popular street decorations.
