“First feline” Socks paws and claws around in the arms of Hillary Rodham Clinton during a White House event Wednesday night promoting the first lady’s new book, “Dear Socks, Dear Buddy.” The book, featuring Socks and Buddy, President Clinton’s Labrador retriever, includes children’s letters to the first family’s pets as well as a short history of animals that have roamed the White House in the past.
