Reserves Rupert McClendon and Robert Davis each scored 16 points and Loyola Marymount made 14 consecutive free throws late in the game to defeat Pepperdine 90-77 in Los Angeles. It was the Lions’ seventh defeat of the Waves in the teams’ last 11 meetings. Six Lions scored in double figures, including Tim Kennedy with 15 points, Willie Allen with 14 points and Elton Mashack with 12 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high five blocks… . Nathan Fast scored 19 points to help Santa Clara beat visiting San Francisco 59-56, snapping a three-game losing streak to the Dons. James Lee scored 13 points to lead the Dons. USF was again without leading scorer Gerald Zimmerman, who injured his wrist against Portland on Jan. 23.
