Martin Christenson Spokane
Visitation for Martin E. Christenson, 100, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
An 80-year Spokane resident, Mr. Christenson died Tuesday. He was born in Northfield, Minn.
Mr. Christenson served with the Army during World War I and then worked as a mattress manufacturer for Carmen Manufacturing.
He later worked in the Sylvan Furniture warehouse.
His wife, Elsie, died in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Don Christenson of Spokane and Adrian Christenson of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Dorothea Haskins of Spokane; two sisters, Ellen Clinton and Helen Hughbanks, both of Spokane; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Gottlieb `Smokey’ Fruck Bonners Ferry, Idaho
Service for Gottlieb “Smokey” Fruck, 94, will be at 10 a.m. today at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.
Mr. Fruck, who was born in Kaikas, Russia, died Monday.
He immigrated to the United States and received his education in North Dakota. He was a farmer and moved to Boundary County in 1928.
Mr. Fruck worked for the Great Northern Railroad and served with the Army during World War II.
He returned to Boundary County after his military discharge and worked for the railroad until retiring in 1970.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of maintenance of Way Employees and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel.
Survivors include a daughter, Verne Dennison of California; two sisters, Naomi Howe of Oregon and Ione Norton of Spokane; four stepsons, Russell and Frank Rosco, both of Idaho, Vernon Rosco of Washington and John Rosco of Nevada; one stepdaughter, Annie Koon of Idaho; and three grandchildren.
Dorothy Szafransky Newman Lake
Memorial service for Dorothy A. Szafransky, 69, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Szafransky, who died Thursday, was born in Hood River, Ore.
She was a homemaker and a 44-year Spokane area resident.
Her husband, Alfred, died in 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Szafransky of Newman Lake and Doug Szafransky of Rathdrum, Idaho; a daughter, Debbie Martin of Spokane; two sisters, Ruth Wells of Tacoma and Theona Rattcliff of Hillsboro, Ore.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

G.E. Kramer Bonners Ferry, Idaho
Service for G.E. Kramer, 87, will be today at 1 p.m at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise.
Mr. Kramer, who was born in Ritzville, Wash., died Jan. 31.
He lived in Boise for 19 years and built equipment for World War II and owned an auto shop. Mr. Kramer moved to New Meadows, Idaho, in 1959 and worked in the logging industry. He moved to Bonners Ferry in 1974 and owned Kramer Logging until retiring in the mid-1970s.
Mr. Kramer also worked for the Forest Service until medical problems forced him into full retirement.
He was a pilot and operated his own plane in the 1950s and 1960s.
Mr. Kramer was preceded in death by his first wife, Merita .
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Bernice; a son, Dennis Kramer of Athol, Idaho; a daughter, Darlene Robinson of Spokane; a stepdaughter, Jeannette Cheatham of Bonners Ferry; two sisters, Esther Mueller of Texas and Martha Bietz of Oregon; 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Jack Hudon Spokane
Funeral for Jack F. Hudon, 94, is planned for 11:30 a.m. Monday at Riverside Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 59-year Spokane resident, Mr. Hudon died Wednesday. He was born in Louisiana.
He attended North Central High School and worked as an optical technician for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lucille.
Edward Jesse Spokane
Funeral for Edward Leo Jesse, a longtime Spokane resident, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the Spokane Valley. Memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Spokane Valley Elks Lodge.
Mr. Jesse, who was born in Lewiston, died Thursday. He was 62.
He was raised in Lewiston and Clarkston, Wash., and graduated from Clarkston High School in 1954.
He enlisted in the Navy and served until 1958.
Mr. Jesse was a businessman, including working in the banking industry and for the Coca Cola Bottling Co. in Spokane and Anchorage, Alaska. He also owned and operated two North Idaho taverns and most recently was the manager of motel and apartment complexes in the Spokane area.
He was a member and commodore of the Maverick Yacht Club, and a member of the Elks and Eagles lodges, and was a Jaycee senator.
Survivors include six children, Janet, Doug, Darrel and Shannon, all of Spokane, David of Liberty Lake and Shaun of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, John, and a sister, Mary, both of Lewiston; and seven grandchildren.

Mabel Christenson Spokane
Funeral for Mabel J. Christenson, 90, will be Monday in Minot, N.D. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Christenson, who was born in Aneta, N.D., died Feb. 1.
She attended Minot State Teachers College and was an elementary school teacher in North Dakota for many years. She retired in 1959.
Mrs. Christenson moved to Spokane in 1979.
Mrs. Christenson was a member of the Lutheran Church, the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, Women of the Eagles, American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans Lodge Auxiliary.
She also was a published poet, including being published in the bicentennial issue of New American Poet.
Her husband, Roy, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Christenson is survived by a sister, Thelma Hugh of Spokane; and six nieces and nephews.

Carolyn Huffman Osburn, Idaho
Service for Carolyn Rae Huffman, 55, will be at 2 p.m. today at Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Osburn Cemetery. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Huffman, who was born in Anaconda, Mont., died Monday.
She was a longtime Silver Valley resident and a homemaker.
Her husband, Carl, died in 1989.
Mrs. Huffman is survived by three sons, Carl Huffman of North Dakota, Rick Huffman of Nevada and Dean Huffman of Osburn; two brothers, Ray Hansen of Nevada and Jim Hansen of Osburn; six sisters, Hazel Smith of Spokane, Sharon Messmer of Des Moines, Wash., Diana Patton of Osburn, Sherry Stack of Nevada, Gerry Gay Curl of Wallace and Penny Cleveland of Puyallup, Wash.; her stepmother, Nadine Garner of Osburn; and two granddaughters, Ana and Delkena.
Irene Cumbo Chewelah, Wash.
Funeral for Irene M. Cumbo, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah. Burial will be at Chewelah Memorial Park.
A resident of Chewelah for the past 63 years, Mrs. Cumbo died Wednesday. She was born in Chewelah.
She worked for Spray’s Laundry and Pacific Trail, both in Chewelah, before working in a nursing home in Colville.
Mrs. Cumbo was a member of United Church of Christ in Chewelah, the Valley Grange, Chewelah Rebekkah Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 6963 and the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, Floyd and Robert Cumbo, both of Colville, Dale Cumbo of San Jose, Calif., and Howard Cumbo of Oroville, Wash.; a daughter, Roberta Ashbaugh of Spokane; two brothers, Carl Ludwig of Colville and Harold Ludwig of Puyallup, Wash.; a sister, Eleanor Zimmerman of Puyallup; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Addison Robinson Spokane
Memorial service for Addison “Add” Robinson, 98, will be at 1 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral HomeNorth.
A 70-year Spokane resident, Mr. Robinson died Jan. 29. He was born in Dickinson, N.D.
Mr. Robinson graduated from Shattuck Military Academy in Fairbault, Minn., in 1917 and studied accounting at a business college.
He moved to Spokane in 1928 and served with the Marine Corps during World War I. Mr. Robinson was an accountant in Spokane for 50 years, including owning and operating Allied Accounting Service for several years. He retired in 1995.
He was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 228, Washington State Certified Public Accountant Association, Dickinson Lodge 32 and the Masonic Lodge.
His first wife, Mabel, died in 1987.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Donna; two sons, Addison Robinson of Lewiston and Donald Robinson of Newhall, Calif.; a brother, Harvard Robinson of Winona, Minn.; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ted Delp Colville, Wash.
Memorial service for Ted Delp, a longtime Colville area resident, will be held at a later date. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Boyds, Wash., Mr. Delp died Tuesday. He was 57.
He attended schools in Sherwood, Wash., and Kettle Falls, Wash., before enlisting in the Navy.
After his discharge from the military he worked in the timber industry in Grand Junction, Colo.
He married Julia Cribari, and they lived in Grand Junction for a short time before returning to the Colville area, where he drove a logging truck until his retirement.
Mr. Delp was a member of the Colville Eagles Lodge.
His wife died in 1980.
He is survived by a son, Guy Delp of Colville; four sisters, Helen Burns and Linda Shaw, both of Kettle Falls, and Mary Sletten and Grace Fowler, both of Colville; four brothers, Lewis Delp of Kettle Falls, Bob Delp of Inchelium, Wash., Dick Delp of Orient, Wash., and Jim Delp of Pomeroy, Wash.

Norman Harold Greenacres
Memorial service for Norman J. Harold, 55, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A resident of Greenacres since 1946, Mr. Harold died Tuesday. He was born in Spokane.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Valley Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Lizabelle; and a son, Jason Harold of Greenacres.
