New faces:
Thomas H. Boone has joined the board of directors of Sterling Savings Bank. Boone, a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, is a partner in the Missoula law firm of Boone, Karlberg and Haddon. He was a member of the board of Big Sky Bancorp Inc., which merged with Sterling Financial Corp. last November.
James W. Sullivan and Richard W. Hardan have been appointed to the board of directors of INB Mortgage Co. Sullivan is the president of Sullivan Rowell Homes Inc., developers and builders of residential property in Washington and Idaho. Hardan is president of Compass Group, a consulting firm that specializes in lending for commercial and industrial development.
Inland Northwest Bank has added the following people to its staff:
Scott Strawn joined the bank as a commercial loan officer. Strawn, who has several years of commercial lending experience, is based at the downtown Spokane office.
Leslie Flinn, who has a background in consumer lending, was named a consumer loan officer.

Jennifer L. Johnson, vice president and cashier, was promoted to senior vice president and cashier. Johnson, who received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Eastern Washington University, has been with Inland Northwest Bank since its inception in January 1989. Earlier, she held several positions with the Bank of Spokane.
Holly A. Austin was promoted to assistant vice president and auditor. Austin, who has more than six years of experience in the financial industry, received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington State University. A certified public accountant who has been with INB for 1-1/2 years, she previously worked for McFarland & Alton P.S.
Richard L. Brittain was named vice president. He has more than 20 years of banking and finance experience, including three years with INB as a commercial lender. Previously, he worked for several commercial banks in Anchorage, Alaska.
Sivi G. Smith was promoted to administrative/communications training officer. She has more than 15 years of experience as an executive or administrative assistant, and more than five years of experience in presentations and training. Smith joined INB 4-1/2 years ago.
Cindy Willman was named branch operations officer. She has 11 years of banking experience, and has worked for INB for 4-1/2 years. Her experience includes teller, new accounts, consumer lending, staff training and bank operations.
Douglas J. Beaudoin was named president and chief operating officer of INB Mortgage Co. Beaudoin, who has more than 25 years of experience in financial management, residential and commercial lending, served in the Air Force and attended the University of Minnesota.
Sterling Savings Bank has promoted Carolyn Gay to vice president. Gay, a certified public accountant, is controller of Sterling Savings and manager of Sterling’s accounting department. Gay has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and was a vice president of bank accounting with AgAmerica, FCB before joining Sterling in November 1996.
