Ida `Karyl’ (Severson) Street Pullman
Memorial service for Ida “Karyl” (Severson) Street, 74, will be at 1 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pullman. Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Street, who was born in Baron County, Wis., died Thursday.
She graduated from Chetek (Wis.) High School in 1942 and moved to Seattle, where she attended the Mason Clinic. She graduated with a degree in X-ray technology in 1949 and worked for the Firland Hospital in Seattle.
She married Frank Street in 1951, and they moved to Yakima in 1952 In 1954 Mrs. Street moved to Pullman, where she continued her career as an X-ray technician working for Pullman Memorial Hospital, Gritman Medical Center and the Moscow (Idaho) Clinic. She retired in 1977. She also worked as a cook for the Pullman School District for several years.
Mrs. Street was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Pullman, where she was active in various ladies ministries, including the women’s circle meetings. She also was a member of the Viola Quilting Club.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Frank Street of Spokane, Willo Street of Pullman, April Pack of Puyallup, Wash., and Patrick Street of Chico, Calif.; two brothers, Donald Severson of Marysville, Wash., and Stanley Severson of Seattle; a sister, Geraldine Severson of Seattle; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of Pullman Endowment Fund, 1300 NE Lybecker, Pullman, WA 99163; or to the Pullman Community Action Center, 105 W. Main St., Suite 1, Pullman, WA 99163.
Ernest McKinney Hayden, Idaho
Private family service for Ernest Lee McKinney, 80, will be held at a later date. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McKinney, who was born in Elberton, Wash., died Friday.
He grew up in Eastern Washington and served in the military during World War II. He was a survivor of the Bataan Death March and Japanese prisoner of war camps.
Mr. McKinney moved to Hayden nine years ago and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia; a daughter, Kathryn Verley of Superior, Mont.; a brother, Gabe McKinney of Reno, Nev.; and two grandchildren.
Mary Ann Perryman Greenacres
Funeral for Mary Ann Perryman, 58, will be at 10 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Colfax (Wash.) Cemetery.
A 35-year Spokane-area resident, Mrs. Perryman died Feb. 1. She was born in Newport, Wash.
Mrs. Perryman worked as a dispatcher for a taxi company for several years.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Roger; four sons, Robert, Marty, Rick and Jeremy Tucker, all of Spokane; four daughters, Teresa and Patty , and Vicki and Deborah of Michigan; two brothers, Raymond Percy of Spokane and Paul Percy of Idaho; two sisters, Margaret Tucker and Blanche Percy, both of Spokane; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Earl Klein Spokane
Visitation for Earl Edward Klein, 81, will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Funeral is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A 45-year resident of Spokane, Mr. Klein died Wednesday. He was born in Rolfe, Iowa.
Mr. Klein served with the Navy from 1939 to 1941, and served as a merchant marine in the South Pacific during World War II.
In 1953 he moved to Spokane from Walla Walla, and in 1955 became the owner and operator of Klein Transmission Service until his retirement in 1971.
Mr. Klein was a member of Hillyard Assembly of God, Ridgeview Christian Center and Living Waters Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include three sons, Allen Erickson of Kalispell, Mont., George Klein of Merrit Island, Fla., and Randle Klein of Spokane; five daughters, Corrinne Cameron of Freeport, Texas, Patricia Koehn of Tacoma, Pamela Schofield of Spokane, Carol Silva of Auckland, New Zealand, and Peggy Constable of Trenton, Mo.; three brothers, Art Klein of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Darrell Klein of Spokane and Charles Klein of Napa, Idaho; two sisters, Doris Mosher of Kalispell and Karen Greybill of Florida; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
