Hints From Heloise

Dear Heloise: Here is a tip for identifying your luggage.

I made bright-colored yarns into pompoms, and I tie two different colors on each piece of luggage.

It sure helps to identify luggage on the carousel. - Josephine Costanzo, Rochester, N.Y.

This was a favorite hint of my mother’s. As soon as it would run in the newspaper there were yarn pompoms everywhere. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: While chopping onions to prepare for the Thanksgiving meal, my 8-year-old son, Bill, saw tears rolling down my cheek. He ran to his room and came back with his swimming goggles. He suggested that I wear them while I chopped the onions. Lo and behold, I did not shed one more tear! He volunteered to have his goggles be the kitchen goggles. - Tammy Sunderland, Gardnerville, Nev.
