Cda District Buys Site For Future School

From Staff Reports

The Coeur d’Alene School District bought 10 acres of land on the city’s southeast side Wednesday.

The $260,000 parcel, east of 15th Street on Thomas Lane, eventually will be home to a school.

The money came from a 1998 emergency levy and from the district’s building fund.

There are no immediate plans to develop the site, but it is part of the district’s continuing plan to buy land in or near high-growth areas.

Washington-based Montana Reserves Co. had owned the property.
