Gigantic Snow Job

Volunteers in Bethel, Maine, have been working 10 hours a day for the past 13 days building what the Bethel Chamber of Commerce hopes will be the world’s largest snowman. The snowman is 113 feet tall, has an 8-foot-long carrot nose and will be fitted with a 20-foot hat and a 120-foot-long scarf. The snow sculpture, which towers over a nearby road and homes, will be dedicated in an official ceremony Friday.
