Liberty Boys Win Rubber Match

Every game between Liberty and Sprague-Harrington has been close this season, but Liberty won the most important game of the series on Thursday.
Jake Holling’s 14 points led balanced scoring as Liberty edged the Falcons 48-45 in the Bi-County League boys tournament at Reardan. Liberty defeated S-H 60-55 in December, and the Falcons returned the favor 60-51 three weeks ago.
Liberty earned the No. 3 seed to the District 7 B tournament. The Lancers open at 5 p.m. Monday at Spokane Community College against Panorama League No. 2, either Curlew or Republic. Curlew and Republic play tonight for the top two seeds to district.
The Falcons play Almira/Coulee-Hartline at 7:30 tonight at Reardan for the No. 4 seed to district. The loser will be out.

W-C will open district at 5 Tuesday night at Spokane Falls Community College against Panorama No. 2, Northport or St. George’s. Northport and St. George’s play tonight at Colville for the top two seeds to district.
Odessa plays Valley Christian at 5:45 tonight at Reardan for the No. 4 seed to district. The loser will be out.

Gabe Goldman added 11 points in the first half for NWC, which will open district at 5 p.m. Monday at SFCC against Bi-County No. 2, either Valley Christian or Odessa. VC and Odessa play tonight at Reardan to determine the top two seeds.
The Hornets, the No. 4 seed, open district at 6:45 p.m. Monday at SCC against Bi-County No. 1.
