Dancing Sidelined For Trace Adkins

Don’t look for Trace Adkins to do any of his trademark stage dancing for a while. The country singer is in a cast for six to eight weeks, the result of a serious ankle injury he sustained Feb. 3.

While surveying some property outside Nashville, Adkins’ truck got stuck in the mud. Working to get it out, he stepped into a sinkhole, fracturing and dislocating his ankle. Adkins underwent surgery Feb. 4 to repair damage to tendons around the ankle. His Feb. 12 show in Caruthersville, Mo., will be rescheduled, but so far there have been no cancellations.
