Two Hurt When Pickup Skids Off Overpass

A patch of ice on a freeway overpass here Saturday sent a pickup truck flying over the edge and onto the road below.

Lori Dehart, 41, of Kennewick, was driving east on Interstate 90 with her 8-year-old son, Arron, at 10:45 a.m. when the accident occurred, according to the Idaho State Police.

Dehart lost control on ice and the pickup flipped over the side of the viaduct, falling 50 feet to the Burke Canyon roadway below, troopers said.

The two were treated for minor injuries at Shoshone Medical Center.
