Advanced Silicon Reopens Plant

Advanced Silicon Materials Inc. reopened its plant in Moses Lake last week.

The facility had been shut down after an Oct. 8 chemical release caused two deaths and four injuries.

In a prepared statement, the company said the plant at first will be operating at less-than-full capacity because of low demand in semiconductor markets.
