Beer Thieves Make Getaway
Two men swiped beer and then threatened two female clerks at the HiCo Village convenience store at the corner of Mullan and Sprague, the clerks told sheriff’s deputies.
The clerks told deputies that two men entered the convenience store at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday and took two 12-packs of beer and walked out without paying.
The clerks chased them out of the store and a third man standing next to their car pulled out a knife, held it above his head and said, “What are you going to do?”
Then one of the men threw a bottle of malt liquor near them.
The three men got into a red or maroon Toyota and headed west behind the building and were last seen heading north on Willow.
One of the men was described as Hispanic, with a tatoo and cut near his left eye, about 5-foot-6, with black hair and brown eyes. The second man was described as Hispanic, 5-foot-6, with slicked-back black hair and brown eyes. The third suspect was described as white, about 5-foot-6, with brown hair.
