Jason Hogan Completes Basic Military Training

Air Force Airman Jason P. Hogan, son of John and Michelle Hogan of Coeur d’Alene, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Kenneth Horton, a Post Falls High School senior and son of Gordon and Ginger Horton, was recently nominated for appointment to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs by Sens. Larry Craig and Dirk Kempthorne and Rep. Helen Chenoweth.

Horton, who maintains a 4.0 grade-point average and recently won the North Idaho College Math Competition, was chosen due to academic achievement, leadership potential, and personal recommendations.

He served as a 1998 delegate to Gem Boys State and participates in cross country and track.

Robin L. Davisson, daughter of Richard and Karen Davisson of Coeur d’Alene, recently graduated from the University of Idaho Law School with a juris doctor degree.

She will participate in commencement exercises in May.

Kristan J. Carver, daughter of James and Michelle Carver of Osburn, Idaho, has enlisted in the Army Reserve as a heavy construction equipment operator.

Carver, a 1998 Wallace High School graduate, will be a member of the 659th Engineer Company (Construction Support) in Spokane after her training.
