Sauer Hits A Milestone

Carey Sauer toiled part time on Tuesday while reaching an important milestone. Sauer scored 26 points in 2-1/2 quarters to eclipse 1,500 career points as Newport fashioned a 77-32 non-league girls basketball win at Freeman.

Sauer, who hit 11 of 17 from the field, had her 23rd game of 25 points or more. Sauer, with 1,513 career points, has committed to play basketball for the University of San Francisco.
