While Border League basketball leader Post Falls took Saturday night off, the teams closest to the Trojans in the standings closed the gap.

Coeur d’Alene, Lake City and Moscow all won to improve to 8-3 in league play, 1 games behind Post Falls (10-2).

Coeur d’Alene 43, West Valley 33

Shaylia Davis scored eight points in the fourth quarter and combined with Lorin Griffitts for 18 rebounds as the visiting Vikings defeated the Eagles.

CdA finished 0 for 10 on 3-point attempts. West Valley’s Vanessa Parvey had 18 rebounds.

IN Championships

Brothers James and Tim Bush won individual championships to lead Kellogg High School to the team title at Sandpoint’s Inland Northwest Wrestling Championships.

James Bush won the 119-pound final and Tim won at 171 pounds as the Wildcats edged North Central of Spokane 158.5 points to 156. Kellogg had two other finalists.

Sandpoint sophomore Jake Rosholt, who won the 160-pound title over West Valley state placer Ty Roberts, was named outstanding wrestler.

Among other champions were Sandpoint’s Kyle Watson at 103 pounds and Lakeland’s Levi Kushman at hwt.
