Chalet To Open
Glacier National Park
Sperry Chalet, one of two remaining historic, high country hotels within the park, will reopen to the public in 1999 after a six-year closure.
Services will include traditional overnight accommodations and food service for guests and day hikers.
Sperry Chalet, a National Historic Landmark, was closed in 1992 to upgrade the sewage system.
In September, more than 160 volunteers assisted the park staff in restoring the facilities.
The park is now booking reservations for overnight lodging at Sperry Chalet during the 1999 season.
Contact Belton Chalets Inc. at P.O. Box 188, West Glacier, MT 59936, toll-free telephone (888) 345-2649, or via Internet at www.ptinet.net/sperrychalet.
