Franchione Earns Raise

A winning first season at TCU turned into a big raise for football coach Dennis Franchione.

Franchione received a seven-year contract reportedly worth $700,000 to $900,000 a year, a big jump from a deal that was to pay him $450,000 per season for five more years. The commitment includes a large buyout penalty and raises for his assistants.
