Another Lakeside win, another Nikki Petticrew career high.

Petticrew scored a career-best 23 points as the Eagles, top-ranked among 2A teams, toppled visiting Deer Park 78-33 in a Great Northern League game at Nine Mile Falls on Tuesday.

Petticrew has broken her career high three times in the last month. Tuesday, she added 10 rebounds, 10 assists and nine steals.

Jen Barcus added eight steals and six assists as Lakeside notched its 34th consecutive victory. Win No. 35 would have to come Friday at fourthranked Newport (10-0).

Carey Sauer finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds and six assists as the visiting Grizzlies, ranked No. 4 in Class 2A, defeated the Bulldogs.

Newport hit 27 of 31 free throws (87 percent) and had a 40-14 rebounding advantage. KF shot 28 percent from the field.

Kristen Grytdal made 5 of 10 field goals and 5 of 7 free throws, and the visiting Cougars used a 10-0 run in the second quarter to pull away from the Scotties.

Chewelah shot 53 percent from the floor, Freeman 35 percent. Chewelah had a 31-21 rebounding edge.

Jamie Entwistle scored six points in the second quarter, when the visiting Indians built a six-point edge on their way to defeating Reardan.

Reardan rallied in the fourth behind Lindsay Krupke, who had seven points. Krupke finished with three 3-pointers and teammate Marci Schwartz added seven rebounds.
