Cummings Pours In 46 For Pullman

Pullman senior Brent Cummings scored a career-high 46 points Friday night as the second-ranked Greyhounds defeated Chewelah 86-70 in a Great Northern League game at Chewelah.

The University of Montana-bound star connected on 13 of 26 field goals and made 17 of 17 free throws. He also had 10 rebounds and 19 of his points came after halftime.

Cummings’ previous best scoring output had been 37, which he set last month against Moscow.

Chewelah’s Josh Parrish scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds. Bryce Meserve added 15 points.

Ryan Harms was the only other Pullman player in double figures, scoring 13 points.

Sophomore Adam Swinyard’s 13 points were 11 below his average, but Wyatt Zimmerer added 15 as the visiting Stags defeated the Rams.

The teams are tied for second in league with Lakeside.

Colville made 20 of 36 field goals and 16 of 22 free throws.
