New Park Manager
Riverside State Park
Jack Hartt, a 22-year veteran of the Washington State Parks system, has been named manager of Riverside State Park in Spokane.
Hartt, who currently is a supervising ranger at Fort Worden State Park in Western Washington, will replace Gary Herron, who retired in August.
Hartt has been involved in the agency’s Use of Force program, which trains and evaluates defensive skills rangers need in law enforcement work.
Those skills could be particularly useful at Riverside, which is in close proximity to the urban area of Spokane, parks officials say.
Hartt will be moving to Spokane with his wife, Susan, and six children.
