Companies doing business with Washington state won’t have to worry about Year 2000 computer glitches hampering the state’s ability to pay for work. On Friday, Gov. Gary Locke’s office said the state made a smooth transition into its 2000 fiscal year, which began July 1. Karen Bresnahan, of Idaho’s Information Technology Resource Management Council, also said no problems had been reported with Idaho’s fiscal year conversion.
