Wetlands workshop
Two free wetlands ecology teacher workshops are scheduled in the Methow Valley July 19-21.
Participants will spend a day and a half mapping and discovering the botany, biology, geology and ecology of a bog and a swamp in the Okanogan National Forest with instructors John Adams and George Wooten.
Adams is a University of Washington geology professor and Wooten is a botanist.
Teachers for grades K-12 can receive 12 clock hours, Wooten said.
