Mable (Lindquist) Perry Spokane

Mable Mildred (Lindquist) Perry, born in Scranton, Iowa, turned 100 on July 10. Although Perry permanently moved to Spokane only two years ago, she has spent summers here for the past 20 years.

In 1922, she and George Harold Perry were married. He died in 1964.

Perry’s occupation was to raise the couple’s three children: George Perry, Camas, Wash., Dorothy Worthington, Spokane, and the late Evelyn Pfeifer.

She has 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Perry, who began keeping a daily journal 85 years ago, attributes her longevity to maintaining a positive attitude toward life, moderate eating and exercise, and a loving family.
