Swimming Pool Broken Into

The Park Road swimming pool was broken into early Tuesday morning.

According to sheriff’s deputies’ reports, someone pried open the metal door to the women’s locker room at the county pool located at 906 N. Park Road.

The pool’s manager told deputies the break-in occurred sometime between 1 and 6 a.m., after a security guard had left for the night.

A cash register drawer had been jammed and speaker wires had been detached from a boom box. No money was taken. Neither was the stereo.

However, a pair of swim shorts was apparently thrown on the roof.
