Netivation.com has signed a letter of intent to acquire Net.Capitol of Washington, D.C., officials announced Thursday.

Net.Capitol is a 3-year-old company that provides Internet products and services for public and political organizations. It lists U.S. Senate leadership among its clients.

The company’s management team, customer base and technology would help Netivation.com build the political side of its business, said Tony Paquin, president and CEO of Netivation.com.

Netivation.com, which went public in June, makes software programs and operates Web sites for politicians and doctors. Among its products is a program that political candidates can use to raise money on the Web.
