Spokane Airport Sees Increased Activity

The amount of cargo handled at the Spokane International Airport increased to 4,894 tons during April, a 6.7 percent increase from a year ago.

For the four months ended in April, the airport handled 19,403 tons of cargo, a 4.85 percent jump from last year.

The number of airport passengers increased slightly during April, with 243,500 boarding or arriving, compared with 238,240 last year. Through April, the passenger total was 905,900, an increase of less than 1 percent from the fourmonth, year-ago total of 898,724.
