Background: Wetzler, 61, has been a priest for 36 years since graduating from St. Thomas Seminary in Seattle. He has served at St. Paschal’s in the Valley since 1992 and spent the previous 10 years at Sacred Heart Church in Othello, Wash.

He has been involved in the Charismatic Revival since 1971, focusing on more spirit-filled Masses and getting church members involved in the church. Wetzler leads a weekly Charismatic Mass at 10 a.m. each Sunday at St. Paschal’s, which he describes as very spirited and filled with praise.
