Several Students Offered Msu Scholarships
Several Inland Northwest students have been offered Western Undergraduate Exchange scholarships to attend Montana State University-Bozeman. Each four-year scholarships has a value of more than $17,000.
Recipients are chosen based on academic performance and potential for positive contributions to the student body.
The students, listed by their hometowns are:
Chattaroy: Brent Nielsen.
Cheney: Douglas Mansell and Isaak Strout.
Colbert: Michael Bradley.
Elk: Jennifer Wolfe.
Mica: John Russell.
Spokane: Eric Biesen, Sean Burk, Ryan Craig, Julie Cummings, McKenzie Kiritz, Forrest Jay, Eric Meyer and Heidi Schmitz.
Valley: Joseph Davis.
Valleyford: Bryan White.
Marine Sgt. Joseph Garner has been promoted to his present rank based on superior job performance and proficiency while serving with Company D, 3rd Assualt Amphibious Battalion, 1st Marine Division in Twentynine Palms, Calif.
Garner, a 1995 graduate of Deer Park High School, is the son of Michael and Patty Garner, Clayton, Wash.
Air Force Airman Mark Faulkner has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Faulkner is the son of Terri Turner, Spokane.
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Mark Conrad has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Conrad, a 1998 graduate of University High School, is the son of Daniel and Carolyn Conrad, Spokane.
Tara Richards Limburg and Nathan Schroeder received $500 scholarships from the University of Idaho’s Parents’ Association.
The students were chosen from 40 applicants and eight finalists, selected for community service, campus activities and academic accomplishment.
Richards Limburg, the daughter of Charles and Brenda Richards, Moscow, is a senior majoring in sport science.
Schroeder, a biochemistry junior, is the son of Douglas and Maurene Schroeder, Moscow.
