Festival Dance Offers Annual Workshop At UI

Festival Dance is offering its annual Dance Idaho! summer workshop July 12-24 on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow.

The workshop is intended to give students a broad and diverse dance experience with noted guest teachers. Classes include ballet, jazz, modern dance, African dance, and drama. A public showcase performance is staged at the end of the workshop.

The event is designed for students, 10 and older, who have at least three years of dance. A fee is charged, depending on the class and participation level. For more information or to register, call (208) 883-3267.

Audition

Spokane Civic Theatre will hold auditions for the Off-Broadway show “Tony `N’ Tina’s Wedding” at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Firth J. Chew Studio Theatre in Civic’s basement.

Needed are about 20 men and women between the ages of 18 and 65. Auditions will consist of cold readings and improvisations.

Performances will be July 25, 29, 30 and Aug. 1 at Cavanaughs Inn at the Park. For more information, call the theater at 325-2507.
