Richard and Mildred McCartan, Spokane, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with dinner at C.I. Shenanigans.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses: Patrick and Virginia McCartan, Nine Mile Falls; Claudia and Tom Cook, Teresa Wright, and Elizabeth and Rayfe Mattes, all of Spokane; and Marie and Russell Abbruzza, and Timothy McCartan, all of Seattle.

The McCartans were married June 14, 1949, in Spokane. They have eight grandchildren.
